JAIPUR: A local court Tuesday granted bail to five men accused of assaulting Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke during a protest at Shaheed Smarak in Jaipur.The accused, detained by police Monday over breach-of-peace charges, were released on personal bonds of Rs 20,000 each with restrictions for six months, said advocate Basant Parik.After being released, the accused received a warm welcome from supporters outside the police station, who put flower garlands around them and raised slogans.Videos of the gathering have since gone viral on social media.Police said an argument during the demonstration escalated into a physical altercation. The incident gained attention after videos of the clash circulated on social media.
