On Friday 25th Oct 2024, Rachel Gupta defeated competitors from over 70 countries to become the first Indian to win the Miss Grand International title. Along with Lara Dutta, the Punjabi native is now one of the few Indians to win a prominent international pageant title after winning the Grand Pageant’s Choice award.

“We succeeded! In Indian history, we were the first to win the Golden Crown. I sincerely appreciate everyone who has faith in me! I swear that I won’t disappoint you. In a subsequent post, she said, “I promise to rule like a queen whose reign will be remembered forever.”
The 20-year-old won Miss Grand India in August, earning her a spot in the international tournament. In 2022, she was crowned the ‘Miss Super Talent of the World’.
With more than a million Instagram followers, Gupta is well-represented on social media. She will now promote world peace and stability as Miss Grand International’s global ambassador.
