'Can’t tell him every single thing': Report claims Trump shown video daily of 'successful' strikes on Iran

United States said on Wednesday it had crossed 10,000 strikes and its ongoing military campaign was “on plan or ahead of plan”, but a report suggested that what reached Donald Trump may be only part of the picture.NBC News, citing an official, said US military have been compiling daily video updates for Trump since the start of the war, showing only the “biggest, most successful” strikes from the previous 48 hours. These videos, however, did not reflect the full scope of the conflict.

“We can’t tell him every single thing that happens,” the official reportedly said, adding that briefings tend to get better responses when they focus on US successes.White House secretary, Karoline Leavitt, rejected the notion, saying, “That’s an absolutely false assertion coming from someone who has not been present in the room,” Leavitt said in a statement.

10,000 targets hit: US

In a video update on Wednesday, US Central Command chief Brad Cooper said the operation, now in its fourth week, had overwhelmed Iran’s air defence systems and was having “tangible effects”.“We hit the 10,000th Iranian target just hours ago. And if you combine what we’ve accomplished with the success of our Israeli ally, together we have struck thousands more, clearly demonstrating that we’re stronger together. Our precision strikes have overwhelmed Iranian air defences and our combat flights over Iran are having tangible effects. He said 92 per cent of Iran’s largest warships were destroyed. “They’re not sailing,” he said, adding that Iran had lost the ability to “meaningfully project naval power.”“For decades, Iranian warships have roamed regional waters, threatening and harassing global shipping. But those days are over because we’ve now destroyed 92 percent of the Iranian Navy’s largest vessels. They’re not sailing, and my operational assessment is that they’ve now lost the ability to meaningfully project naval power and influence around the region and around the world,” he said.Cooper also said missile and drone launch rates had dropped by more than 90 per cent, and that more than two-thirds of Iran’s missile, drone, and naval production facilities were damaged or destroyed.“Iran’s drone and missile launch rates are down by more than 90 percent, meaning their ability to attack American forces and regional neighbors is drastically reduced. And not only have we significantly degraded Iran’s naval drone and missile capabilities, we’ve also removed the regime’s ability to rebuild them,” he said.
